Congratulations to David, Alan, Unday, and Jesus for competing.
Alan went undefeated with 4 submissions.
Jesus went undefeated, finishing all his fights as well, including some armbars that made me want to ice down my elbow just from watching.
Unday went 2-0 in his weight class, and 2-0 in absolute division. He and Jesus were supposed to fight in the absolute finals, but withdrew together instead in a display of excellent sportsmanship.

I think you meant 2-23?
In any case me, Ben P. and John Evans fought today as blue belts.
Ben and John both did great in their weight classes, getting 2nd and 1st. I think Ben beat some guy like 24-0.
I lost my first match in my weight class on points against some scrappy little guy who got 1st.
We all fought in the open division. John took second. He fought like 7 times today, and they were all good fights. Excellent job man!
I think Ben won his first and lost his second, on points.
I won my first open weight match via tie breaker, but ended up losing to the guy who won open weight.
=)
Nice job guys.

You guys all did great! It was awesome to see how much everybody has improved their game. Way to represent for HBJJ. Big congrats to John for having so many matches and not passing out--but killing it!

Haha, thanks y'all, and also big congrats to all that competed... EVERYONE did super great, I still can't believe some of you guys are still fairly new to grappling. Are there videos up on youtube of these matches? I really want to see Ben's open weight matches, cause iirc he did a really good job on pushing the pace and going for takedowns.
