Galen, you're competing. NO arguing. You ARE competing in this tournament.
And I am too.

I'll be there. I must redeem my no-gi status.
I still can't pass guard, though. Maybe if I'm standing and he's trying to pull guard, I'll just pretend to slip and fall on my back. Oops!!!

I still can't pass guard, though. The answer is in Dae's ultimate technique lesson... If you want to pass guard in this town, you need to have strong support from the right leg. In fact, both right and left legs must be equally strong, or you'll never pay the mortgage. Good coordination is also required to pass. If there is no communication between both right and left leg, it will be difficult for the left leg to get the required permission to do anything and the right leg will get bored and wander off in another direction.

I'm still trying to become a middleweight but my body stubbornly refuses to cooperate. I don't think I'll compete but if anyone wants to tune up for the competition I volunteer myself as a tackling dummy. Louis already likes to work on me in his evil jiu-jitsu lab.

Hey guys, Students for our academy are signed up under 3 different academy names: HBJJ, Hollywood BJJ and Renzo Gracie. In the past, Shawn has told us to sign up with the academy name as "Renzo Gracie," to avoid being matched against a fellow teammate in the initial brackets. For example, the way the registration is now, Ben and Dane could potentially be paired, as they are in the same division and from 'different' academies. Let's get the official word on what the academy name should be registered as so we can represent!

Hey everyone, I talked to SPF today, he said that for the ibjjf tournaments we put Renzo Gracie LA and for the smaller ones we register under HBJJ...Just a heads up
