June checking in. I hope everyone is doing well and training hard.
Haven't trained or stepped on a mat for nearly two months & recovering from surgery on my leg.
I think Jon got his purple belt!? (based on the nogi Worlds list) If so, congrats! Well deserved.
Just a heads up, James Carrey (British wanderlust) is dropping in to the academy in a month or so to train. Make sure you guys treat him right, he's good people.

Yes Blind, I'm the man behind some of Dane's spider guard skills. Can't imagine how sick the kid is now with it.
Leg is recovering fine Dane. My body is finally healthy and devoid of nagging bjj injuries and I'm ballooning up to my natural weight of 205 lbs.

Everything before was in L.A.: my gf, job, school, etc. Now, every aspect of my life is here in Orange County. With my busy work schedule (everyday 8a-7p) & a killer OC to West Hollywood commute (avg. 1.5 hours), it's physically & logisticallyimpossible to train on weekdays. If I was lucky I could get 1 a week on a Saturday.
Anyway, with Shawn's understanding & support, I left the academy. Still haven't found an academy, nor have I really looked too hard. Recently, I had an abscess on my leg removed that is being biopsied as we speak. It was actually so deep that it was attached within my thigh muscle. So with this hole in my leg I'm further out of commission for a few more weeks.
That's everything in a nutshell. You guys are probably progressing so fast and leaving me in the dust. I'll just sit and watch my new PanAm dvds and hopefully through osmosis get better.
