So I was rolling with Uday last night, and I locked up a triangle. As soon as it was tight, he did this tornado roll move toward the side that my foot was on. Next thing I knew, I heard a crack, my ankle hurt, and I had to let go. Today, I can't walk.
So my question is: why don't more people do this great escape? Is it only effective if you're a freakishly strong wrestler? I've never even seen that defense before. But I don't think I'm ever going to try to triangle the guy again.

Not sure what you mean by tornado roll without seeing it, but do you mean that he kind of dove on his side and you could have ended up mounted if you didnt let go? Doesnt sound like a technical escape and he could have just as easily have gotten hurt, but again id have to see it i guess. Maybe try to hip up really hard and pull on the head also to limit his movement. Also maybe his trapped arm wasnt across his face which allowed him to kind of jerk you with more power.
