dcacademy.info/v-web/bulletin/bb/index.phpI made a similar post over at his board to check out our board. Most of us know who Dave is, but if you dont he is one of Shawns friends and has done two seminars at HBJJ. Dave is actually the reason I am at HBJJ in an indirect way. He held a seminar there on January 8th, 2006. I made my way over to his seminar and met all the shawns/seans and had a good time in an open learning enviornment. Subsequently I got kicked out of my academy. Just wanted to let everybody know how lucky they are to have an open minded teacher like Shawn. Most probably don't realize because he is the only guy they have ever trained with. But other academys are very different from Shawn's and Dave's. Just pick up Dave's book at the academy and read the introduction for his personal story.

Dave's the whole reason i do jiu-jitsu...before I met him i was at AKA doing Frank Shamrock's class...all it took was once on the mat with him and I was hooked on his style. I've been with him along the way since he split from Ralph and I still found the intro to his book to be very interesting as well. Like HPF said he's very open minded and if you're ever in San Jose and stop by to train, his mat is always open but especially to anyone who trains with Shawn Williams.
